HR Lab is a non-profit organisation, founded under the name “Laboratoire d’Entreprises – Ondernemingslabo”, in 1980.

In 2025, HR Lab is celebrating its 45th anniversary. Throughout the years, HR Lab has been a community of driven HR professionals with the ambition of implementing and maintaining state-of-the-art HR processes and practices within their organisations.

HR Lab is one of the founding members of , the Belgian Association of HR Professionals.

Our mission

“Generating oxygen for HR professionals by sharing practices and topics that are relevant to our organisations. While these themes can be both strategic and pragmatic, they are never anything other than topical.

To do so, we draw upon the vast, diverse experience and the network of our members in a climate of trust.”

HR Lab missie

Meanwhile, HR Lab has grown into a robust platform, with some 50 member companies from a variety of sectors. We also foster a special relationship with all the major stakeholders and players in the labour market, in the fields of employment and people and change management: university colleges and universities, government agencies, management and business schools, training organisations and other network organisations…

HR LAB is also a founding member of HRPro.be, the Belgian Association of HR Professionals.

Our values

Companies and HR managers are invited to join our platform on the basis of the following principles: that they give priority to professional and innovative Human Resources Management and that HR managers sign up to the following values: integrity, professionalism, openness in their consultation with colleagues in-house and discretion externally.

This means that all kinds of topics can be discussed in a climate of trust, in a spirit of sharing and learning.
