Talent Lab

Talent Lab could be regarded as a spin-off from HR Lab.

Talent Lab was created for Talent Managers and highlights talent-related topics such as recruitment, performance management, leadership development, succession management and, of late, also sustainable policies and well-being at work.

Every year, Talent Lab organises a ‘Talent Day’ on a specific talent management topic.

Membership

Talent Lab is open to the Talent Managers of HR Lab member organisations only and operates the same rules of confidentiality and professional ethics. The reason for this restriction is that Talent Lab is funded via the HR Lab membership fees.

The aim is to form a group of 6 to 10 companies from as many economic sectors as possible. Career changes lead to membership turnover, which is why we always welcome new members.

Our objectives

Talent Lab has set itself two objectives:

  1. exchanging experiences and corporate practices, usually on a yearly theme such as sustainable work, leadership potential & development, recent developments in performance management, software systems for integrated talent management.
  2. organising an annual networking event for members’ high potentials. One afternoon long, four to six top talents of each company debate a hot topic that is of interest to everyone. A reputable keynote speaker sketches the outlines whereupon the discussion groups, composed of members of the various companies, can share their views on the topic and everyone can meet their colleagues from other sectors. Recent topics ranged from “ethics in technology”, “production incentives in Belgium” to “when digital becomes humane”.
